Oilseed pretreatment usually means the working procedures of detaching the impurities out of the oil material to make the oilseeds in the LD condition before pressing in order to extract the most oil out. It is the first and most vital step during the whole set of oil mill plant. This is the part where the seeds are procured, cleaned, flaked, and cooked so that the oil extraction process can be carried out in a more efficient manner, so that the final output or the extracted oil is of the highest quality.

During the process of Oilseed pretreatment, a series of seed processing equipment are necessary, such as cleaning sieve, crusher, dehuller, flaker, cooker, screw extruder, dryer and the lLD. Some seeds require additional preparation beyond cleaning. Soybeans, for example, are de-hulled, heated, cracked or flaked, and sometimes extruded before entering the press. MAIN PROCESS FOR SOYBEAN PRETREATMENT:

Cleaning and Separating:

Cleaning: In order to obtain high effective cleaning, ensure good work condition and production stability, high efficient vibration screen is used in the process to separate big and small

impurity. Suction type gravity stoner removing machine is applied to remove the shoulder stone

and earth, and magnetic separation equipment without power and exhaust system are used to remove iron. Dust removing wind net is installed.

Extrusion process:

Adopting the bulking machine can both improve the yield of rice bran oil and reduce the consumption. The extrusion puffing, on the one hand, can make solution lipase passivated under high

temperature and high pressure condition, then prevent the material oil rancidity; On the other

hand, the extrusion puffing can make oilseeds be porous mateial grain, and increases the

materials bulk density, then improve the permeability and leaching rate which solvent reacts to the material.

Drying process:

The soybean flake contains about 12% water, and the LD moisture for leaching process is 7-9%, therefore, there must be effective drying means to achieve the LD leaching moisture.Adopting flat dryer can make water and temperature meet with follow-up process requirements,

and improve the oil yield, as well as oil quality.
